National Library Week
April 8th - 13th 2019.
Here is what happened:


Wee Windsor Library—a Community Creation

Libraries = Strong Communities.  Bring  our special community building to life by together creating a mini model of the Windsor Public Library using our 3D pens and other building materials...  Just sit down & spend as much or as little time as you’d like!

Monday, April 8th

Knitting Group:  6:30pm Bring your crochet, needlepoint, sewing, or knitting projects, share ideas, practice new techniques.  New faces always welcome!  All levels/abilities.


Tuesday, April 9th—National Library Workers’ Day!

A day to recognize the hard work and dedication and valuable contributions of all Library workers.  Nominate a stellar Library Worker to the Galaxy of Stars here:


Wednesday, April 10th—National Bookmobile Day

Did you know that the Library offers delivery service to those who can’t come to us?  If you or someone you know needs this service, please call us at 802-674-2556.

Preschool Storytime, Wednesdays at 10:30am. Ages 0-6. Join us for stories, songs, and a craft.

After-school program :  Wednesdays 3:00ish when school is in session.  Join us for a story, craft, and snack!  For all school-age kids, K-6th grades.

Friends of Windsor Library meeting:  6:30pm.  Friends meetings are very informal and anyone who is interested  in helping our Library should consider attending. The Library Director gives updates on what is happening and how Friends contributions help the library.  Discussions are then held regarding future fundraising efforts, committee reports and current projects.


Thursday, April 11th

Adults! Come play Mahjong at the Library!  Thursday afternoons,   3:00-5:00pm.  Are you new to the game? We will teach you!   All levels from beginner to expert are welcome!

Trunkside Tales with Ringling Brothers’ Ted Lawrence, 6:00pm.  An oral recounting of a Ringling Bros and Barnum and Bailey Circus Clown’s Adventures on the rails.  Listen as he tells his tales of circus life and watch as he transforms into his character     before your very eyes…  refreshments will be served.

Log On at the Library Day!  Join our Facebook page for some fun trivia about the Library!

Also, we will be promoting features of our website you may not be aware of… for example, did you know there are over 500 free courses available to you with your Library card?

Saturday, April 13th

Genealogy Group:  10:30am.   Work to discover your roots with genealogist Pamm Trask. For the new genealogist in the making,  she will help you navigate the myriad of websites and other resources to start. Experienced researchers are also welcome to continue learning new things from their peers. 

Volunteer Appreciation Day!  All of our volunteers are invited to a special reception at 1:30pm.  Without our volunteers working behind the front desk, shelving books, cleaning, and running programs, we could not do what we do!  So please join us for a celebration of YOU!   Attendees must RSVP to Christine at 802-674-2556.
