Build IT Saturdays are back! Join us as we build and test simple machines.

3Doodle Pens: Draw in 3 dimensions! Our six new pens will be available for use to create your own 3D drawing that you can take home. Ages 8 and up please. Please sign up for a date by emailing us or stopping in to ensure a pen is available on the day you wish to come.

Learn to Fish: Saturday, June 24th, 9am-12noon: Basic fishing class taught by VT Fish and Wildlife instructor. All equipment is provided and no fishing license is required for the program. We'll start at the library and finish at Lake Runnemede (weather permitting). All ages, children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Sign up by emailing or stopping in the library.
Tie Dye Day: Saturday, July 1st, 10:00am: Remember to wear old clothes - it's messy, messy, messy!! Bring a washed t-shirt, socks, or pillowcase that is at least 60% cotton. Severe (thunderstorm) rain date: Monday, July 3rd @ 6:00pm.
Giant Jenga: Weather dependent, but we'll shoot for Wednesday, July 12th at 2:00pm How high can we build a tower? WPL backyard. All ages. Rain date: Wednesday, July 26th
Bubbles and Hoops: Friday, July 14th, 2:00pm: Join us as Charlene Candiloro teaches us how to hula hoop. Bubbles are involved; who doesn't love bubbles? Library backyard (if raining, we'll find an alternate location). Aimed at ages 4-12, but everyone is welcome.
Chocolate Olympics #2: Thursday, July 20th at 2:00pm: M&M quick sort, Oreo stacking, kiss-eating, marshmallow blowout, chocolate relays, and other sweet games. All ages.
Electricity! Batteries/Lightbulbs/Motors/Switches: Friday, August 4th, 10:00am: Join Rebecca Haynes from the Montshire Museum as we explore the power of electricity. Sign up required! Ages 5 and up.
Vermont READS 2017: Brown Girl Dreaming by Jacqueline Woodson. An award-winning biography in verse suited for ages 12 and up. Free copies available, so come get yours! Share your thoughts on the book in our log (located at front desk) and keep the book!
Preschool story time, every Wednesday at 10:30am:
Caregivers and their children are welcome as we share stories, songs, and crafts. For ages 0-5 with parent or caregiver.

Afterschool Program, every Wednesday at 2:30pm: Runs every Wednesday when school is in session. This program is designed for children in grades K-4, though older students are always welcome to help. Join us for a book, a snack, and a project.

Stuffed Animal Repair:  Most Wednesdays, 6:30-7:30pm: Do you have a stuffed animal in need of repair? You can bring in that special friend. Sue Spears, Stuffed Animal Repair Specialist, has many years of experience repairing stuffed animals and is providing this fabulous service for free! If it doesn’t need to be repaired, bring it anyway, and let her give it a checkup, get your favorite friend registered, find out more about it, and say “Hi”.
