Programs for Kids

Windsor now has a Little Free Library in town!  You are invited to the ribbon cutting celebration!  Friday, July 19th from 11:00am-12:30pm.   At 11:00am, join us at the Resource Center (1 Railroad Avenue) where we will make bookmarks and gather books for the box.  We will then walk over to the box, located in front of Stoughton House on Main Street,  fill and christen it, share in a storytime, then return to the Resource Center where the kids can share in lunch and snacks.  All are welcome!   This box was made possible by the Ascutney Mountain Promise Community.
VINS StarLab, Thursday, July 18 at the Windsor High School Gym.   Join the Vermont Institute of Natural Science for your choice of two (2) sessions:  1:30 or  2:30pm.  Sign up required!!! All ages. Limit 25 per session. If needed, we may add a 3rd session at 3:30pm.
Pottery with Mark, Saturday July 20 at 10:00am.  We will be making piggy banks!  Ages 7 and up only please.  Sign up required!!  There is limited space available for this program.
Breakout EDU:  What's in the box?  Solve clues to unlock the box and you'll find out!  Grades 5 and up: Wednesday, July 24 at 1:00pm!

 3Doodle Pens:  Draw in 3 dimenions.  Our six pens will be available for use to crerate your own 3D creations that you can take home.  Ages 7 and up.  Multiple dates:
  • Monday, August 5 from 6:00-8:00pm
  • Saturday, August 10 from 10:00am-12noon
Stomp Rockets, Friday August 9 at 10:00am:  Join Super Special Space Science Lady, Rebecca, as we make stomp rockets and set them off outside!  All ages.

Recurring programs:

Preschool story time, every Wednesday at 10:30am:
Caregivers and their children are welcome as we share stories, songs, and crafts. For ages 0-5 with parent or caregiver.
After School Program, every Wednesday at 2:45ish when school is in session:
For kids in grades K-6. Each week will feature a story, a project, and a snack.  Older kids are also  welcome to come and assist the Librarian.  Program is not held on school holidays or snow days.

Stuffed Animal Repair:  Call to schedule an appointment 802-674-2556: Do you have a stuffed animal in need of repair? You can bring in that special friend. Sue Spears, Stuffed Animal Repair Specialist, has many years of experience repairing stuffed animals and is providing this fabulous service for free! If it doesn’t need to be repaired, bring it anyway, and let her give it a checkup, get your favorite friend registered, find out more about it, and say “Hi”. Please call to schedule an appointment.
